We've Adopted a Girl.
Dear Birthmother
We are Andrew and Beth and we want to thank you for reading this letter and learning more about our lives. We can only begin to imagine the difficulty of the decision you have made. We hope this information about ourselves will help make this difficult decision a little easier and give you comfort in knowing your child will be raised in a home full of love.
We have been married for almost four years. We are fortunate to have began our relationship as friends when we met during our teen years working summers at Six Flags Great America. When we decided to continue our relationship as a couple we knew that it was the beginning of our commitment to one another. After dating for a few years we became engaged and married the following June. Family , friends and prayer continue to be important facets of our lives. It has always been a dream of ours to have children. We have always considered adoption to be a wonderful way to bring additional love, laughter, and joy to our home. After discovering some issues of infertility we knew in our hearts that adoption would be right for us.
Beth is in her 9th year teaching in Delavan, Wisconsin. She taught 5th grade for four years and is currently enjoying the excitement and wonder of teaching kindergarten students. It is an extremely satisfying career; they learn something new each day and are always excited and willing to share their joys with Beth. Beth enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her niece and nephew. She also enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, taking walks, playing board and card games, and listening to music. Beth has always wanted to be a mother. She is caring, fun-loving, and nurturing. Beth has much love and joy to share.
Beth has two sisters and one brother. Her older brother and his wife live about an hour and a half away. They have a two and a half year old son and are expecting another son in May 2008. Her twin sister and brother in-law live in Texas and have a 9 month old daughter. Her youngest sister lives about an hour away. Beth’s parents live 25 minutes from us and we often visit them on Sunday afternoons. We enjoy getting together for birthdays, holidays, and “just because”! We also try to take extended family vacations whenever possible. We enjoyed a recent trip to Estes Park, Colorado and hope to go to Door County Wisconsin this summer.
Andrew is a Loss Prevention Training and Account Manager for the Ace Hardware Corporation. He has worked for Ace for almost two years. He loves his job and enjoys working with the individual store owners in developing procedures to protect store property, assets, and personnel. Andrew enjoys spending time with friends and family. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling to new places. He has a wonderful sense of humor and looks forward to the laughter and joy a child will bring to his family.
Andrew’s parents and two brothers live in northern Alabama. They live in a small town and have a beautiful pond down the road from the house. We get together as much as we can and enjoy our time together.

We live in a small town in Southeastern Wisconsin. We have been in our home since we were married. Our neighborhood is filled with friendly families, young children, and their pets. Our quiet neighborhood comes to life on a warm sunny day; children and their families play catch in their yards or enjoy a walk or bike ride around the block. We enjoy watching the neighbors run and play with one another just as we did when we were children. Our cat, Hunter, enjoys a sunny day looking out the window or sitting on the front porch with us in the evening.
We are extremely excited to expand our family through adoption! We are ready to be a mom and dad and to share our love with a child. Thank you for being a part of our dream.
With warmest thanks,
Andrew and Elizabeth
