Eric & Kristi are hopeful adoptive parents from Utah waiting to adopt a baby.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read the following Dear Birthmother Letter.

Dear Birth Parents,

We know as you sit there reading our letter you are faced with probably the most courageous and difficult decision of your life. Please know how much we admire you, and your love for your child. Every day we pray for you-- that you will be blessed with all those things that you need. We know that you will be !!

Our lives have been touched by trials, including the inability to have children biologically. However, this struggle has made us stronger as a couple. Ever since we decided to adopt, we have been so happy that there is a plan to allow us to fulfill our dreams of becoming parents. We are very open to open adoption and adoption of all races. We know that without you we could not become parents.

About Us:

Our story begins on a cold winter day in December. It was our wedding day and we were both so excited. We knew we were marrying our best friend. We were so excited to finally be together in our own home and begin our own family. The day was perfect! Ever since that, each day we have become even closer friends and our love has grown. There is no other person in the world we would rather spend time with. Recently, we went on a wonderful relaxing vacation; we visited the temple, saw the Phantom of the Opera, played games and watched movies. We then ended our vacation camping in a beautiful grove of trees—making smores, telling stories around the fire, and trying to stay warm when Kristi didn’t pack enough blankets—more snuggling required. These are some of the things that we enjoy doing, other times you can find us being homebodies playing a competitive game of Scrabble, Risk, or Mario Kart on Nintendo. We both grew up in families that spent a lot of time together and look forward to doing the same with our children. We believe memories are more important than money—that the time spent is what will be remembered in later years.

Currently, Eric is working as an accountant for a large health care company. He is very talented with numbers. He has a bachelor’s in Accounting and hopes to one day be the Accounting Manager of a small company. He enjoys his work. This is the first job he has been able to wake up and say he is excited to go to work. He balances the expenses and profits of teams of doctors and it is a very demanding yet fulfilling job. He always plans his time so that he can be home at a reasonable hour. He goes in early and takes a very short lunch break so he can have plenty of time at home in the evening. Kristi is a junior high reading teacher. She loves teenagers!! Each day is different from any other and all the tasks and stresses of teacher life are challenging yet rewarding. She loves getting to know each student and their likes and dislikes. She is genuinely interested in their lives, their hopes and worries. She tries really hard to listen to them and make the class enjoyable. She would like to someday teach college or become a counselor for youth. However when a child comes, Kristi will be staying home. We have made our budget so that Kristi can be home with the children. This is very important to us, so we have worked very hard to make this dream a reality.

Eric about Kristi:

To me Kristi has every good quality that a mom should have. Kristi is a very loving person. She is very compassionate and wants those around her to be happy. She is always more concerned with others feelings than she is with her own. She genuinely wants to do what is right. She is always a good example to those around her. Kristi loves to talk. One of the things that I admire most about her is her ability to talk to anyone. If there is someone in her vicinity she will talk to them. She loves to interact with other people. Whenever we are at the grocery store, she will talk to the cashier those in line to check out, and anyone walking by. She will not only ask them how they are doing but she will think of something that she can complement them about. Because of these things and many others, Kristi will be a wonderful mom.

Kristi about Eric:

Eric is the truest person I have ever met. Meaning: he is loyal, kind and thoughtful. The first day I met Eric I had two thoughts: One, he was the most handsome man I had ever seen…he reminded me of Prince Eric on the Little Mermaid. Two, he was the type of man I could actually see myself married to. He comes from a family of 9 children, so he is always around family. I call him the kid magnet, because whenever he arrives all of the children want to play with him. One of the things I really love about Eric is that he never gossips about anyone. That has always been something that I have tried to be like and he is a great example to me. Eric is always so romantic! He brings me bouquets of flowers for no reason at all, and he tells me everyday that I am cute and that he loves me. He even still asks me out for dates! Eric is a very hard worker; he always keeps our lawn looking wonderful. He is such a diligent employee at his job; his boss always says he gets more done than anyone else. I appreciate Eric’s willingness to support me and our future children. I love him more than words can say, and I know he will be the best father any child could hope for.

We are so grateful that there are courageous individuals like you, who are looking for the best for their child. Even if we are not the ones you feel are right for your child, we pray that you will find the perfect family. We know that you will be guided in this experience. May you always be blessed for your unselfishness and love!

With Love,

Eric and Kristi
